In order to properly understand The O’Mallie Clan, you have to understand both Who we are and What we are. What’s the difference, you ask? Well… Who we are as people and as a family paints a different facet of our existence than what we are, our longstanding lineage, and our history. They both tell parallel stories that make up our being, but they explain different sides to us.

Who is House O’Mallie?

House O’Mallie is a House founded in the early 1990s by two brothers. These brothers and their House would cultivate a dynamic history over the course of the last 30 years. In 2026, House O’Mallie has around 50 recognized members and allies based all around the world, not including members of Houses within our Clan. We began as protectors and we persevere as protectors. Our tagline is “Fuck Around and Find Out” and we’ve stepped to that plate repeatedly over the last 3 decades. We’re the ones who clear the floor for the “weird ones” to express themselves freely, safely, and peacefully. We’ve always been the ones to correct people who intend to rain on people’s parades and teach them the error of their ways. The way we express our protective nature has evolved over the years, but we’ve never stopped carrying that energy. Above all else, weird a family. We cherish the bonds we cultivate with one another and it’s important to us to protect our people.  Whether you’re bloodline, an ally, or a friend, we’ve got your back. But we’ll hold you accountable for fucking up too. We expect integrity above all and will always support those who exhibit the same values. I’ve heard us get called the real life Brujah clan, and as I learn more about what that means, I can’t say I disagree.

The Brujah are a clan of radicals and troublemakers, Embracing those willing to put someone in their place if the situation calls for it. Most see themselves as warriors with a cause, and these Rebels are guided by their passions, strength, and dedication to their ideals — whatever those may be

I mean, there is no lie detected.

(inb4 OmG she used a V:tM reference) stfu and read this

The O’Mallies have always been the misfits and the problem children, but the ones who will stand our ground when the wrong people stepped into your space. O’Mallies have always been wild and passionate and we protect your right to express yourself however you see fit as long as you’re doing it safely and not infringing on others in unwanted ways. We’re the type to be there to guide you through tough experiences or help you out when you fall down. We’re not gonna tell you how to live your life but we might advise you when you’re acting out. It’s just how we are and always have been. Our guidance and council has always been sought because we’ve always been the practical minded dose of reality people seem to need.

Carrying O’Mallie energy is practically its own egregore at this point. Many people know through stories or experience what it means to have “O’Mallie energy.” It’s a specific type of brutish accountability that resonates from deep within that people either have or they don’t. People who know us or who are part of our family know exactly what I’m talking about. But this aura and energy has been built over decades showing the community that we value integrity above all and will always stand behind doing what’s right no matter what. Let’s take a look at how we got to where we are now.

The History of House O’Mallie

The history of O’Mallie startswith two brothers, Thomas & Stephen O’Mallie.

Stephen & Thomas O’Mallie

In the early to mid 1990s, Thomas and Stephen would play a vampire chat roleplay game on AOL called NOD. While not blood brothers by birth, they established themselves in this game community as chosen family. Brothers of the Blood, the brothers O’Mallie. Through this continuous game scenario in ye older member generated chat rooms, they would end up unknowingly meeting members of the real vampyre community. After a couple years of active game play with these folks in this vampire game,  they would receive an invite from Countess Monette & Lady Mehnea Panthion to”meet the real thing.”

That fateful invite would become Thomas & Stephen’s first adventure to an infamous nightclub in New York City known as “MOTHER.” Their worlds would be changed forever that night.

MOTHER is where the renowned event “Long Black Veil” or “LBV” was produced. LBV would be the birthplace of “The Black Veils,” the universal vampyric code of honor held throughout the VC (at the time).

Before Thomas & Stephen, you couldn’t get into Mother’s Vampire Nights without being affiliated with Sabretooth or tight with someone whose presence was already established there. They were some of the first to be vouched for and allowed in despite not being officially tied to anyone. Because of their ability to interact in this vampire scene unaffiliated, Thomas & Stephen would be considered some of the first recognized “Ronin” vampyres. Despite being “Ronin” at the time, they quickly established their place in Gotham and went on to blaze a magnanimous trail for House O’Mallie.

The “O’Mallie Brothers” would quickly establish themselves as protective forces within the community.

They would be the first to step in to oppose conflict in ways that you can no longer do today. There were periods of time in Gotham’s history where you could get jumped and your ankh taken if you were wearing the wrong pendants around the wrong people due to drama in the streets of NYC. Stephen & Thomas became some of the strongest opposition to the folks who were doing that.

Because of Steve’s dedication to protecting the Vampyre Community during the early years, he was adopted by Lord Father Vincent & Lady Saige into their private house, House Orion. At the time, House Orion was very secret and unknown.  It wasn’t until a month into living in the “Canarsie House” that Lady Saige grabbed Steve and said “If you’re going to be serious with us… dating Lady Ophelia, being our child… We love you, so we want you to be Orion.” To which Steve replies “Alright, what the hell’s Orion?” It was that well kept of a secret then. So, Lady Saige explained, Orion was their private House. It was just for them and not everybody could be in House Orion or even know about Orion.

Father Vincent & Lady Saige

Father Vincent never took to the idea that “just because I made your fangs, I’m your Sire” the way Father Sebastiaan did. He had some people he acknowledged as his *chyldren* but they would never be Orion. Orion was sacred and only people universally agreed upon by those in Orion were allowed to know about Orion. First, Father Vincent and Lady Saige had to decide together if they wanted to bring someone in. Then everyone who was a standing member of Orion had to vote you in. If any single person voted against you, you could not be let in. It was never even brought up to you, so you’d never know you were being considered in the first place. All of this deliberation was done before it was even brought up to you. When Lady Saige “read him in” and Stephen was embraced into House Orion, he became one of the early children of the House and is therefore considered one of the original “pureblood” children of Father Vincent & Lady Saige. He became known as Stephen Orion-O’Mallie from that day forth.

Through his experiences within Orion, he found a sense of family, comradery, loyalty, respect, and honor. Becoming protective over House Orion and the entire Gotham community, Stephen officially gave form to House O’Mallie to rally his troops together under one roof and carry those lessons forward to his own progeny. The O’Mallie Brothers & their crew suddenly became House O’Mallie. With his proven track record of handling business, he was proudly granted one of the first ever independent House charters of the Gotham Halo by Father Sebastiaan & Father Vincent, solidifying Sabretooth’s status as a “Clan.” As such, House O’Mallie became the first “Royal Bloodline” of Gotham that wasn’t originated by a Founding Father. The trail O’Mallie blazed when becoming its own independent House led the charge for others doing the same. Because of this, “dual citizenship/membership” started being granted to others that wanted to be a part of both Sabretooth & a newer formed House.

Protectors of the Vampyre Community

The hands-on protective nature Stephen O’Mallie carried in the late 90’s would see him become the first ever “Regent’s Guard” in Gotham, protecting Lord Delchi during the first Regency of the Court of Gotham. This role would have Stephen working as personal security to the Regent, ensuring his safety while DJing or holding Court. It didn’t take long for Steve’s reign as the protector of the Regent & the Court of Gotham to cause the scope of his duties as the Regent’s Guard to broaden. Rather than just Lord Delchi’s protector, he became a regulator of the spaces he inhabited. The name Stephen O’Mallie in those days would become synonymous with physically reaping the consequences of what you’ve sown.

Stephen O’Mallie would inevitably band together a crew that would become a Regent’s Guard Battalion, a crew of protectors under the O’Mallie name that were known as Stephen’s “Gargoyles”. His ability to run a team of protectors and ensure the safety of the spaces they inhabit ultimately would see him being granted the title of “Sheriff of Gotham”, the first Sheriff they ever had.

(Sinner, Stephen, Gabriel Drax – circa 1999)

Lord Stephen O’Mallie & his crew of protectors began wearing hematite beads on their Legacy Ankhs & using green stones instead of the traditional stone colors. They were the first to customize the look or setup of their Legacy ankhs beyond the typical stone colors to give visual clues as to what VC organization they belonged to, starting a beloved tradition of customizing Legacy Ankhs to denote different affiliations.

Because of the protective energy O’Mallie carried and our litany of “firsts”, it didn’t take long for House O’Mallie to become one of the most respected bloodlines throughout the entire Vampyre Subculture at the time.

The Vampyre Almanac 2000

Featured in the “Bloodlines: Vampyre Tribes” section of the Vampyre Almanac from the year 2000, you can see a listing about our early history. Thomas O’Mallie ended up moving to Georgia where he hosted the Court of Atlantis while Stephen O’Mallie stayed to serve the New York City Vampyre Community.

Clan O’Mallie

Throughout Stephen O’Mallie’s time in the vampyre subculture, he has sired many notable figures who have gone on to establish their own houses or make names for themselves in their Organizations.

Due to our lineage, House O’Mallie shares a rich heritage that spans through the entirety of the history of the Gotham Halo as we know it.  O’Mallie’s “Grandfather”, Father Vincent, is one of the Founding Fathers of the Gotham Halo itself. Our family tree includes some of the most prominent and influential Elders to ever come from the early days of the Gotham Halo, shaping the way the Vampyre Community operates for generations to come.

It didn’t take long for House O’Mallie to become Clan O’Mallie when some of our early members began to create their own broods. The O’Mallie lineage runs through many Houses, solidifying our nature as a clan. House O’Mallie would continue to operate under the watch and protection of its founder, Stephen O’Mallie, while Clan O’Mallie’s dynamic bloodline would grow through the community.

This would include prominent figures like:

  • House Panthion Founders – Countess Monette Panthion & Lady Mehnea Panthion
  • Hidden Shadows Founder – Lord Xanatos
  • Asylum Guild & Malkavia Bloodline Founding Member – House Sentient Founder – Lady Veronica Malkavia
  • Court of Lazarus Officer – Lady Ria O’Mallie
  • House Omnia Corvus Founders – Lady Jessica O’Mallie-Corvidae & Lord Kronos O’Mallie-Corvidae

Between then and now…

In the time between when House O’Mallie was first established in 1995 to today’s Clan O’Mallie, there is a rich history that spans across several states. As time continued forward, the dynamic of the Vampyre Community & Subculture radically changed with the growing popularity of the internet & subsequently social media outlets like myspace. Things became too out and open and therefore more dangerous for those who couldn’t be open with their nature for dayside reasons. At one point, House O’Mallie went into a “Legacy state”. The Legacy state means that the House steps out of the public eye and no new members are Sired for an indefinite amount of time. With the way the community shifted, Steve’s moving out of Gotham, and the untimely passing of Lord D’Drennan, Steve felt it necessary to take some steps back to protect the daysides of the whole family.

The Occasional Public Appearance

Media Mistakes – Why choosing media appearances carefully is an absolute necessity.

20/20 Special (‘Real-Life’ Vampires) – November 25, 2009

In 2009, Stephen O’Mallie appeared on a episode of 20/20 discussing his lifestyle as a vampyre. Despite being recorded in darkness and his voice distorted, his identity was not concealed properly. If you know him at all, the voice distortion wasn’t enough. This appearance would cause chaos and an unfortunate period of unintended consequences that truly messed up his dayside life for a while. This blight in his personal history is shared as a warning to folks that some mundane jobs just do not mix well with being in any form of spotlight having to do with alternative communities.

Despite these personal setbacks, Stephen O’Mallie has always persisted. Resilience is a family trait within our bloodline.

House Kheperu Gather

From the 2011 House Kheperu Gather Schedule

Stephen O’Mallie would come out of the shadows every now and again to host workshops at varying conference style events to include Merticus’s Twilight conference in 2008 as well as the House Kheperu Gather in 2011 – 2013

The Resurgence of House O’Mallie

In 2017, the community seemed to cry out for the energy of House O’Mallie to return.

There was a wave of activity in the community and a need knocking on Stephen O’Mallie’s doorstep that called to him to come back to his role as protector of the community. There had been a string of events that inspired the reanimation the House O’Mallie as a public facing organization again. It seemed that many of the prominent leaders of the time were in need of some protection from outside influences that meant to cause harm, so Steve rose to the occasion once again, just as he always has.

The O’Mallie Ankh

First Generation Ankh

The first generation O’Mallie Ankh was a collaborative project between Mavenlore & Stephen O’Mallie, released to been seen by the public June of 2019. We are grateful to him for his work conceptualizing the first generation of our ankh sigil. Unfortunately, due to ankh quality concerns & irreconcilable differences with Maven, we had to seek alternative methods to source our second generation Ankhs.

Second Generation Ankh

In November of 2021 – The Second Generation Ankh was made available to our House. Updated within our House by long-time member of our family, Gabriel Drax.

The Loss of a Founder

On May 12, 2024, Thomas O’Mallie left this plane of existence. House O’Mallie lost a Founder. Stephen O’Mallie lost a brother. He was an instrumental part of the creation of O’Mallie and his contributions to our current will never be forgotten. May he Rest in Peace.

The Loss of a Father

In late January 2023, the Vampyre Community lost a monumentous figure… and Stephen O’Mallie lost his Vampyre Father. This moment is etched into the hearts of O’Mallie forever, as we lost a mentor, a guide, a grandfather. His presence felt like an immortal imprint that would never be lost. His mark on Vampyre Culture burned into it forever. May he Rest in Peace and may his spirit live on within all of our hearts.

The loss of Father Vincent would spark a feeling in Stephen O’Mallie’s heart that would change the trajectory of House O’Mallie into the future. When Father Vincent left us, an unfortunate amount of history and tradition left with him. Stephen would immediately recognize the importance of history collection & legacy planning. It wouldn’t be long after the memorials transpired that we would begin buckling down to articulate this history you’ve been reading.

“Will the Royal Bloodlines please step forward” – Father Vincent’s Memorial 2023

This was a precious moment frozen in time. These are the children of Father Vincent’s & his legacy, gathered together one last time to pay respects and say goodbye to their Father, their grandfather, their common ancestor. Many people in this photo were molded by him and would’ve never known each other without him. Some people in this photo are the future generations who have been graced with the traditions, legacy, and love passed down through his lineage. Unfortunately, this would be the last semblance of peace amongst this family tree.

A New Era of the O’Mallie Clan

On the evening July 14, 2025, Stephen O’Mallie would announce his intentions to retire as the Head of the House to the family. He would announced Jessica O’Mallie-Corvidae as his successor and heir of O’Mallie, to act as the Head of the House while he prepares for then recovers from surgery.

In the beginning of August, Stephen & Jessica would begin to strategize a plan to release to the public the news of this big transition. On the 30th Anniversary of O’Mallie, on October 31, 2025, it was made public that Jessica O’Mallie-Corvidae is now the Head of the O’Mallie Clan while Stephen Orion-O’Mallie would move to a Consigliere position.

Beyond our History… We’re a Family above all else.

With 30 years of legacy backing us up and bright skies over our road ahead, we’re elated to be working to preserve our lineage, our traditions, and our memories so that we can usher in a new generation that has the opportunity to learn about the old ways before the old ways die out.

Hail O’Mallie

O.F.F.O.
